Flying with your pet abroad?
Vaccinations, documents, deadlines for YOUR route — counted back from your travel date, put in the order they have to happen, and cross-checked before they reach you. So the only one at the airport allowed to be nervous is you.
This is the guided do-it-yourself version — you do the steps, we make sure you don't miss one.
One route, every requirement in order, for less than 4% of a relocator.
Put together by Bhuvan — every route checked against the official government sources (DAFF, USDA APHIS, DEFRA), dated on each guide.
How it works
Your route carries through from above. Add your pet, breed, and travel date.
Every requirement, deadline and form for your exact route — as real dates on your calendar, in the order they have to happen.
Every deadline arrives as a real date with what to do and where — so at any point, you know exactly what’s next.
Inside your checklist
The rules for your route aren’t just a list — they’re an order and a set of windows. The chip has to be scanned before the rabies shot. The health certificate is only valid for a few days.
Your plan is built around those windows — every date counted back from your travel day and cross-checked against the sequence before it reaches you. A certificate that would expire mid-journey gets caught on paper, not at the counter.
Your first deadline is usually closer than people think.
Book the vet for Mar 4–9 to sign the health certificate. Any earlier and it expires before you land. Any later and USDA can’t mail it back in time.
A USA → Germany checklist, four steps in.
Why deadlines matter
Each of these is recoverable if you catch it early, and expensive if you don't.
Some countries require the rabies blood test months before entry. Miss the window and the trip moves — rebooking a pet-in-cabin leg alone can run $400–900.
Most countries accept it only within a strict number of days before travel. Too early is as bad as too late.
Some airlines and countries restrict specific breeds. Finding out at the counter is the worst way.
